PASSIONATE RATIONS

Sure, they look innocent–those wide-eyed children pleading with you to buy their goods so that they can go on the band field trip in the springtime.

And, of course, you want to help them.  It’s a good cause, after all.

Really.  I can’t reasonably be faulted for buying two 3-pound tubs of cookie dough from them.

Besides, who can resist snickerdoodles and lemon-cranberry confections?

But there are consequences to one’s actions.  Oh yes.   Especially when one’s actions consist of foregoing the somewhat calorie-burning exercise of actually cooking the dough and, instead, endeavoring to eat it raw. 

With a spoon.

Right out of the tub(s).

And I wonder why I gained six pounds over the holidays….

Ah well.   Let’s hope that, while the kids are enjoying band camp, I am enjoying a certain new lightness of being.

(Now, where did I put my spoon…?)
