Pumpkin Pie in a Spread

OK.  I know I talk too much about Trader Joe’s.  But, hey, this is the person who used to drive over an hour each way to get my Trader Joe’s.  Luckily for me, they have since opened one far closer.

Trader Joe’s does do at least one thing that annoys me though:  the frequent discontinuation of yummy goods.  One week they have a fantastic brand of soy nuts, the next they’re gone, never to be munched on again.   Sigh.

A corollary annoyance is their seasonal discontinuation of products (although I suppose this has its charm, especially if you believe the world would be a far better place if we went back to eating with the seasons).  The fact that I’ve had to wait a full year after discovering Trader Joe’s pumpkin butter spread at a friend’s party to get my own, though, had me wringing my hands and gnashing my teeth in desperation.   Finally, ’tis the season o’ pumpkins!  I bought two jars last week and intend to bank more of them before the season ends.

I urge you to try this stuff.  Tastes like really good pumpkin pie filling, but you can put it wherever you want.

Come here, sweetheart…!
