New Discoveries in Chocolate: Kshocolat
While meandering through Heathrow Airport’s duty free section waiting for a flight to Berlin, I stumbled across a white-chocolate candy bar flavored with lemon oil and peppercorns. It hailed from Scotland and was a brand of which I’d never heard: Kshocolat.
Unable to pass up such an unusual flavor combination, I purchased it, but did not try it until back in the states. Too bad I didn’t try it on the spot, because I would most certainly have come back home with bundles to share.
The texture was smooth and creamy, with hints of crunchy peppercorn, which speckled the off-white body of the bar with miniscule contrasting flecks.
The flavor was perfectly balanced, not overpowering, but extremely rich. Peppery lemon indeed. An inspired confection.
I never think of Scotland when I think of world-class chocolate. I love surprises.

Did you save the wrapper so you can check on line where to find this unusual chocolate? I will forgive you for not sharing in Berlin.
